Shelter for Alien ArtifactsMFC Survival has recently seen their inflatable shelters used on a television set for a new BBC Wales production.
Two linked MFC Survival Inflatable Shelters were hired for the day by BBC Wales and filming took place in and around them all day. Inflated in minutes using a BA cylinder or electric inflation pump, the MFC Inflatable Shelter uses pressure compensating units to keep a constant pressure. This was ideal for the BBC production team as no continuous inflation is needed. The shelters were used to cover a suspicious scene that was under investigation by a renegade group of investigators.
The set was for a new BBC Wales programme called Torchwood. Set in modern-day Cardiff, it is to be a 13-part drama series aimed at a post-watershed audience and has an organic link to Doctor Who. It is to be a British sci-fi thriller, dark, wild and sexy. The renegades will investigate human and alien crime, as well as alien technology that have fallen to Earth. The drama series is produced by BBC Wales and will be transmitted later in the year. <<Back to the news page
