MFC Survival rescue Red Devils Parachute Display Team at Rescue Day 2010MFC Survival recently attended the 3rd annual Rescue Day 2010 at 7 Lakes Country Park, North Lincolnshire. The day was aimed at raising funds for The Help For Heroes Campaign supporting wounded armed forces personnel. Organisations attending included the emergency services, fire, police and ambulance services to showcase some of the services and skills that they offer. Demonstrations included RTC extrication, water rescue, Police dogs & horses & vehicle recovery. MFC Survival were involved in ‘rescuing’ the Red Devils Parachute Display Team who ‘dropped’ in. Seven members of the Red Devils landed in the lake and then needed to be brought back to the safety of the lakeside using the MFC Rescue Sled. Members of the Humberside Rescue Services deployed the Rescue Sled to collect the parachutists enabling a swift and safe recovery demonstration. The day also offered the chance to showcase the Fibrelight Cradle, a versatile man overboard recovery system, enabling small craft to recover casualties from the water. As well as being involved in the rescue event MFC Survival had a display of water service equipment and used an inflatable shelter as a display tent to showcase such products as PFDs (personal flotation device), Stormbreaker Life Jackets and the RP3 Rescue Platform.
